check...check...123...is this thing on??

Anybody out there still reading this blog??
Just wondering if blogs are becoming a thing of the past and Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram are the way to go.
I don't want to be wasting my time...

Trends: Cameras

The post over on the Bella Blvd blog today is inspired by something that is very trendy these days:
Cameras!
Cameras are everywhere in papercrafting these days!
And the fun Snapshots line from Bella Blvd is full of fun ones!
*****
Here are a couple cards I made using some of the playful cameras in the new Snapshots line...

I used the subtle cameras on the "B" side of the "Borders" sheet of patterned paper as the background for this card.
I used the journaling block with the camera on it from the pack of paper pieces to hold the sentiment for the card.
Then I added a few other stickers and some string to give the card more dimension.
Fun stuff!

On this next card, I used the subtle cameras again from the "B" side of the "Borders" sheet in the Snapshots line as part of the background of the card.
I also used the polaroid die cut found in the pack of paper pieces.

I cut the sentiments out of a strip from the "Borders" sheet (that piece of paper is proving to be very versatile!).
Then I decorated the rest of the card with die cuts and stickers.

Check out the Bella Blvd blog for more cool "camera" ideas!

A couple of cards

Good morning!
I've got a couple cards to share with you using some of my scraps from the "Our Summer" kit from Noel Mignon.

I am kind of obsessed with that red & pink chevron paper from Fancy Pants.
I think I have ~1/4" scrap of it left...but I am not throwing it away!!
:)
I added some patterned paper behind the openings in the "Os" and "R" in the sentiment.
I thought it helped the chipboard letters stand out better against the chevron paper.

Then I got a little more colorful on this card and pulled out my trusty butterfly punch!
{i could not find it for a couple of weeks and i was pretty devastated}
:)

Aren't these little candy dots from Queen and Co. so fun?!?

OK that's all I've got!
Thanks for stopping by today!

The Babysitters Club

Hey there and good morning!
We have a fun little theme going on over on the Noel Mignon blog this week.
We are making things this week based on children's books.
You could do a lot of different things with this theme.
It could mean using a quote from a book as part of your journaling or using the title of a book for the title of the layout.
It could mean using a book illustration on your layout.
You could scrap a picture of someone reading.
It could mean scrapping your kids' favorite books.
In my case, I scrapped about some of my favorite books growing up!

I used the the Noel Mignon "Our Summer" kit to make this page.
Anybody else read the The Babysitters Club series??!

loved these books!
I remember there being like at least 40 books in the series.
And this girl read them all!
They were so fun to read and quite educational if I do say so myself!
:)
Here are a few detail shots of the page...

Check out the Noel Mignon blog for some other fun takes on this theme!

Have an awesome day y'all!

Bella Blvd challenge: Use 6 of the same embellishment

Earlier this week there was a fun challenge over on the Bella Blvd blog
The challenge was to use 6 of the same embellishment.
Challenge accepted!
And here is what I made...

OK so I probably didn't challenge myself very hard on this one! :)
I used 6 stickers on this card and that is so easy with all the cute stickers in the new Bella Blvd lines!
I used 2 scalloped circle stickers, 2 banner/pennant stickers, and 2 photo corner stickers.
Easy!
The 2 small flowers were cut out of sheet of paper from the new "Play Date" line.

On this next card I used 6 different buttons from my stash of Bella Blvd buttons.
These flower buttons are such fun embellishments for a girly card!

And now I've got a Mother's Day card to add to my stash
(you know, in case it sneaks up on me in May like it usually does!).

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Have an awesome day!
