Midnight Rooster REVEAL

The December kit from Midnight Rooster was my first one as a new design team member!

Yippeeee!!

And it did not disappoint!

This kit is filled with {among other things} fabulous Pink Paislee, October Afternoon, Glitz, Crate Paper, and My Mind's Eye patterned papers and a fun Dear Lizzy glitter alpha from American Crafts.

And I made a bunch of stuff with it!

This first layout is an old picture of me and Stu after a run in Birmingham a few years ago.
I didn't take the picture.
I don't even know who did.

But someone pointed it out to me on the Birmingham.com website.
I pulled it off the computer so the quality is grainy but it is still one of my favorite pics nonetheless!

This is the road that leads up to our neighborhood.
These trees are always sooooo pretty when the seasons are changing!
So I scrapped about them. {I added the brads from my stash here too}

Lee took his brother to Las Vegas for his 21st birthday back in October.
{I was not invited}
They were there for a long weekend and did not take one single picture.
Shame on them! {I added the strip of bling from my stash}

All week it is a Christmas card bonanza on the KI blog!

I took the basic design from that card and made this one.
I just changed the colors & theme a bit to get a completely different card!

new Noel Mignon challenge!

There is a new challenge up at Noel Mignon!

Challenge: Scrap a favorite gift from the past!

I did not scrap a specific gift though.
Instead I scrapped about how at Christmas we always got "the big gift".
It was equivalent to our gift from Santa but since Santa wasn't too big in our house, we always just called it "the big gift".

And I scrapped about it!

The mantle

In my house the mantle gets decorated first.
Then everything else comes together.

And basically I am just using Virginia's tumblr to decorate for the holidays!

She posted this a few weeks ago...

{here is the link where that mantle
and so many more can be found}

And that led me to this...

Lee would prefer everything to be decorated in blue.

So I let him be in charge of decorating his office & the laundry room.

It's a red & green & gold Christmas in the rest of the house!
