There is a new theme on the Paper Issues blog today.
"Tree Hugger" is the theme!
You could interpret that many ways...
Do you have any layouts about nature?
Or what about projects using leaves or trees?
There are lots of fun papers, die cuts, stickers, etc. with fun tree patterns!

Or how about a layout about your family tree?!
The interpretation is up to you!
Think out of the box!
If you use paper, though, you are in!

"Tree hugger" immediately made me think about recycling, being kind to nature, etc.
Recycle. Repurpose. Reuse.
Recycle. Repurpose. Reuse.
So for my project I used a great piece of product packaging to make a tag rather than just throwing it away!
Check this out!
How perfect is this backing from a pack of My Mind's Eye bling for a tag?!!
How perfect is this backing from a pack of My Mind's Eye bling for a tag?!!
It is ridiculously cute!
What a waste for it to just be thrown away!
So I just turned it over & decorated it to make this tag!
So easy!
Supplies: Patterned paper (KI Memories, My Mind's Eye); Lace cardstock (KI Memories); Chipboard (KI Memories); Bling (My Mind's Eye)

OK now the fun part for you!
Leave a comment here for a chance to win a box of goodies from me!
(I bet you would like to see a picture of what you might win. But that would require me to get my lazy booty up off this couch where I am cozily watching this LSU-MS State football game & sipping on a glass of wine. You will have to trust me on this one.}
:)
How about just tell me what your favorite football team is & I will pick a random winner on Monday!

OK from here your next stop is to the

You're soooo right! That backer was WAY too awesome not to use but you certainly made it even awesomer (if that's a word lol)! Love it Gretchen!
Cute tag! I always love new ideas on how to recycle packaging. Thanks for the inspiration!
Very cute tag!!!
I'll go with my son's favorite: Eagles. Cute idea!
Cute tag!! Love that you recycled the tag base!
What a great idea! That packaging was just too darling to just chuck in the trash! I love what you did with it.
I'm going to second Kelly's choice (ok, her son's favorite) and go with E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!!!! (Would you like me to sing their fight song? ... "Fly Eagles, Fly ... on the road to victory! Fly Eagles, Fly ... score a touchdown 1-2-3! Hit 'em high, hit 'em low, and watch our Eagles go... (da-dum-dum)... Fly Eagles, Fly, on the road to victory. E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!") were you singing along??
(not so much??)
Loved your recycled tag!! Nifty idea. New follower!
Blessings to you,

My favorite college teams are Ohio state and nebraska.
love your tag.
That was a great idea for a tag...I would have to say the Bears...Chicago!! : D
Really sweet tag. I love saving the packaging to re-use. This one is especially pretty! BTW - my fav football team is my sons middle school team, the Indians! LOL but my fav pro team is the Denver Broncos!
Very cute idea! I'm running out of room from saving stuff like this! I guess my fav football team would have to be the 49ers - but truth be told, I'm not much of a football fan. While hubby watches football, I play with paper!
Supercute tag- love getting the most out of my scrappy products, too!I don't really follow professional football, so I'd have to say my favorite team is the little league team my husband coaches- The 49ers! have a great weekend!
I pull for the JSU Gamecocks!!
My hubby and I love football. My college team is Florida State. And Dallas Cowboys all the way.
great tag!!! :) xox
Love how you used packaging that usually would end up in the garbage- super cute tag!!! I am now a follower and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan :)
Love the tag...I love using the packaging from some of the crafting products I buy...they are just as great as what's in the package. I just LOVE watching football. My Dad used to take me to see the San Jose State football games a lot...since I grew up in the bay area of CA, I'm a 49ers fan.
Cute Tag, would be great for hostess gifts at the BBQs. Im a Steelers fan, sort of. I dont follow football near as closely as I use too.
awesome tag!
I had no idea it was upcycled!!! PERFECT project for this hop!!! Ooo love that red ribbon against the blue.... Pinning onto the PI DT board!!!
PS- just read your comment about the RAK photo and LAUGHED my booty off! :)
ohhh that was a funny post! AND an amazing re- green project~ my fav. football team is our local High School team. We have a great home town every one supports and cheers our team. We even grew Jake Locker!! WOO HOO Go Jake!

Great idea to recycle the tag! I am not big on sports so I will pick our local team the Cleveland Browns even though it usually causes heartache.

Adorable tag! I re-use clothing tags. I like the ones that are sturdy, fabric, or just different. I also re-use tickets from Oak Mountain State Park. They're yellow and have the Oak Mountain State Park printed on them.
Oh, you wanted to know what my favorite football team is. Well, I'd have to pick LSU.
What a great idea! Never thought of this. Thanks for sharing and would love to win your generous giveaway.Peggie
I'm finding that I look at lots of things as something I can use on a card at some point. Love the tag!
I cheer for the Carolina Panthers and the San Diego Chargers (cause the Chargers QB is from NC!)!
