Strip it, paint it the color of your office or living room and pile idea books in it. (At least that's what I"m doing with the one I just inherited!) :)
ooo, ooo, ooo! One of my friend's up here just came home with one! I fell in love the second I saw it and my mind went racing. I'm not sure if I'd alter it with pp and Mod Podge, bring out my trusty ol paint pens from college, or what! Can't wait to see what you come up with! ;)
well, that depends. if i was going to use it for my house i would leave it and use it as a little table somewhere. knowing me though, i'd paint it red and use it as a photography prop. thanks for the idea.:)
my first impression is to leave the desktop natural and paint the rest a really fun color...I love red or apple green! Maybe even a turquoise!! all the other ideas are great, too!
Give it to my dear friend Janna! NO, I would probably go with a primary color for sure. Like blue. Or red would be awesome. Probably red. You could paint it before you gave it to me. That would so sweet!
I would leave it alone! If the pic is true to detail, then I'd leave it as it is and just accessorize it. Drape a colorful quilt over it. Display some cute little books on it. What are ya gonna use it for anyway, Hoffy?
ummmmm.... if i was 8 years old i would do my math, science and social studies on it but if it were in my house today..... i would probably use it as a planter/corner decor thingy.....
oh i so want one!! i'd leave the base natural and paint the top a funky color and draw something crazy on it. then i'd put it on my front porch with a cutsy potted plant on the seat! PERFECT!!!

The wood grain is so beautiful. Unless there is lots of damage to the finish, I would leave it. It's gorgeous.
